The students visited National fish seed Farm at Malampuzha as a part of practical learning on Induced breeding of fresh water fishes. Students were introduced to different types of species suitable for culture in fresh water system such as Catla, Rohu etc. They also studied how to identify matured male and female species, and the entire procedure of induced breeding including – capturing matured brooders, injection of hormone, and collection of eggs. And also they can familiarize with different growth stages of fish.
